Was catching up on the podcast and hear the chip got an iPad, and yeah hell must have froze over. At gally he was saying that he wasn’t going to buy a iPad because of what apple was trying to do with subscriptions.
So what got chip to buy one?

This is due to the fact that the standard, retail Pippin ATMARK or @WORLD systems are not copy protected in any way. They are fully capable of running back-up copies of both Pippin and select Mac OS 7 titles. Also, the Pippin software can be run on the Mac OS 7 systems (of which they are a multitude available).

But overall your point is valid – though innovative at the time, the Pippin was a complete commercial failure,

I think that the one thing Apple will have to do before they can get rid of the home button, is a way to for a restart of the iPad/iPhone/iPodTouch when they freeze up. it doesn’t happen all that often but I have had my touch freeze up on me.
One thing that I have been thinking of doing is seeing if I can get a 512GB SSD for my late 2008 MBP to see if I can put off buying a new laptop for a couple more years.
As for the mac store itself I would have to say that for the most part I haven’t been paying to much attention with it. I’ve just downloaded one free app and that is about it, though I’m thinking of buying a could of programs on it because the price is so much lower than say if I where to go to a store and buy the program in a box. The thing about the store is if my hard drive crashes and I have to replace the hard drive do I have to re-buy the programs again.
The only complaint with using the iphone4 for the video is that there was a buzzing noise like a fan going on somewhere. you guys did sound quite far away but then you where faraway from the iphone4.
Over all the only real game that I spend any time on is eve online, of which I play it on my mbp so over all there hasn’t been to many games out there that I’m playing on my iPad. I have the doctor who game for it but I’ve gotten lost in the game and I have no idea where I’m suppose to get in it. over all the controls are a little awkward, my finger will move out of the circle of the controller.

Well it will be interesting to see if apple will drop the media drive on the next updates to the Mac book line. I actually like the use of a USB stick for the installer; though I would be prone to loosing it.

Have to wait till the summer of 2011 for it. I’m almost temped to put money down of a developer membership so that I can get the developer copies
One thing that came to mind when I watched it being demoed was that Microsoft is going to have to play the catch up game agai to try and get close to apples interface again.

I hope that ios 4.2 comes out soon I want it on my iPad.

I use Spotlight too…it’s just frowned upon my many a Macerati.

I like a lot about 10.7, from what little we’ve seen. And damn, saw the 11 inch Macbook Air at the Ginza Apple Store and that is one sexy little beast. Not that I’ll ever buy it, but damn it’s a nicely designed little beast.

Hey Warren, why do you say that you shouldn’t use spotlight to open application, I have been doing that for some time now; I find that it’s faster for me to use the keyboard to search and them open the app from it than to Use the mouse.

The thing that I like about 10.7 is that it looks like they are going to hide the scrollbars till you start scrolling the window. That will free up a little bit of the display space for stuff.

Lego Batman game is a fun little game to play.

Another excellent podcast.
Things that I think apple should announce for 10.7 the end of flash support, well maybe that one day, though I ink that there really isn’t to much that apple can add to the Mac os x, I’m hoping that they work on making more changes to the underpinning to the the os to improve performance and security after all there will be a day in which hackers will start to look at the Mac as a platform for getting stuff and causing problems.

Games I would love to see pitfall coming to the iPad; it was a fun side scroller on the atari platform.
I haven’t bought any games for the iPad yet, I have just been playing the lite versions of the games out there.
